PONS TRENCH RACES DOCS
Everything about the karts, the drivers, the track and $PTR Read it once, then go lose to Cupsey
01 · OVERVIEWWhat is Pons Trench Races
A toy kart race in the browser. Eight drivers, one pastel circuit with mint neon on the walls, three laps, and a podium that only ever fits one ego at a time.
The whole thing runs on a single page with Three.js. Every kart body is the Pons logo, the glossy letter P, laid flat with the driver sitting in the notch. Billboards, flags and the blimp along the track carry Pons and Robinhood Chain marks because that is where the token lives.
- ENGINE
- Three.js 0.171 in one index.html, no build step, no framework
- PLATFORM
- Desktop and mobile browsers with WebGL
- CHAIN
- Robinhood Chain, token launched through Pons
- RACE LENGTH
- 3 laps, roughly one minute against the field
02 · DRIVERSThe grid
Eight drivers. Four from the poster, four who showed up anyway. Each one has a kart colour, a face, and a top speed label that is honest about how loose the kart is.
- LABELS
- Fast, Steady and Loose describe the AI top speed of that driver when you race against them. Your own kart always has the same top speed no matter who you pick
- PICKING
- Arrows on screen, or ← → on the keyboard, then RACE or Enter
03 · INPUTControls
- THROTTLE
- ↑ or W
- STEER
- ← → or A D
- BRAKE
- ↓ S or SPACE
- PHONE
- Throttle is automatic. Tap and hold the left or right half of the screen to steer. The two round buttons show which side is pressed
- ESC
- Closes the pit wall and the lightbox
04 · RULESRace rules
Five red lights, then GO. The grid starts a few metres behind the line, so the first crossing is lap one, not a free lap.
05 · PODIUMResults
The race ends when you cross the line on lap three. The others finish on their own and the table fills in as they arrive.
- POSITION
- Ranked by who finished first, then by distance for anyone still out there
- TIMES
- Seconds from GO to the finish line, shown for every driver who made it
- THE LINE
- The winner gets their own quote under the table, so plan for Musk
- AGAIN
- RACE AGAIN restarts with the same driver, PIT LANE goes back to the grid
06 · SCENERYThe track
One closed circuit, twelve corners, white pastel buildings and small round trees. Everything on it is built from primitives in code, nothing is a downloaded model.
07 · TOKEN$PTR token
$PTR launches on Robinhood Chain through the Pons launchpad. The contract address lives on the pit board in the game and right here. Until launch both say SOON.
- CHAIN
- Robinhood Chain, EVM, addresses start with 0x
- LAUNCHPAD
- Pons, ponsfamily.com. The BUY button opens the launchpad, and the token page once the address is in
- CHART
- DexScreener on Robinhood Chain, the link comes back to the site together with the contract
- IN THE GAME
- Nothing. Positions, boosts and podiums have no connection to the token. The race is the meme, the token is the token
08 · PRIVACYNothing is stored
There is no backend, no account and no leaderboard. The site does not write anything to your browser either. Close the tab and the race never happened, which some drivers prefer.
- SOUND
- The site opens straight on the grid. Sound starts with the SOUND ON prompt or your first tap anywhere, the button in the corner mutes music and effects together
- MUSIC
- One CC0 track, so it can play here without a credit line
- REDUCED MOTION
- If your system asks for it, the camera stops zooming with speed and the smoke stays off
